Two feature requests related to this:

When I test mydomain.com with the tool here

Test mydomain.com with "Get SPF Record"

SPF records are primarily published in DNS as TXT records. The TXT records found for your domain are: v=spf1 a mx ~all SPF records should also be published in DNS as type SPF records. This is new and most implementations do not support it yet. No type SPF records found.

This means that there is the SPF TXT record, but not the more modern SPF record. Look at this tool to see that in TinyDNS apparently it has to be a line beginning with :. Could you please add this SPF record type to your DNS manager!

When I use the same tool to check lists.mydomain.com (this domain has a mailing lists activated), then I see the following result message:

Test lists.mydomain.com with "Get SPF Record"

This is hardly a feature, but almost a bug. First of all I think that the lists.mydomain.com domain should be made with the same (default) DNS template as mydomain.com and include its the TXT (and SPF) record. Now apparently it doesn't have a SPF record at all. Even better when we are able to manipulate the lists sub domain in the DNS manager ourselves, just like the other sub domains.

SPF has become very important, since I think some major are blocking without it. I am currently investigating the best method to include this.

I know this post is old but is there anyway to make a DNS as type SPF record?

i think most email server respond those those types of spf rather than a txt.
