Hi folks
I was asking LxHelp for some customization in client lxadmin interface. In Lxadmin there are many icons and features that in many cases are excessive for minimal hosting feature such as, for example, mail account management and stat analysis.
I was suggesting to enable on client home only the features enabled from admin side, from Resource plan for example, extending some features to other services (hide mysql database resource if isn't included in the resource plan, etc... as is for "Can set document root" to clarify). The idea is to simplify the management of the panel (and services) for customers (and admin).
Thank
Michele

That's a third party firm currently designing the icons and banner etc, but it is pure graphics work. The GUI, layout and the overall flow is handled by us itself.
The primary design of lxadmin will not change again. Merely we will make the icons and background better. You can see a design here. It is still work in progress. And there are 2 more skins.

Yes, you will be able to completely remove the header, and have only a thin line if you want.

There are other banners too. We will have a lot of banners, with different themes.

ok for the new icons
but personally, i don't like the gui assets.
i would suggest a complete redesign of the information architecture
lxadmin/hypervm has tons of features, but they are confusionally presented to the user
for example:
tab user interface is helpful
but under a tab, an user should have everything regarding that tab
and in the main tab only a kind of dashboard should be needed.
take the email tab
under this tab, admin user could have list of all email and server email settings (queue, settings, spamengine, history..)
user could have similar, related to his permissions.
also would be useful an ftp tab
all accounts, settings and so on
i design application interface for web, if i can be of any help i would be glad to partecipate
regards

Server config buttons are available only to admin. Showing them in the domain mailaccount page would make Lxadmin unusable.

yep, it was an example....
what i mean is that the information are too much and no well disposed: data&infos about a topic should be collected and consistently represented in the same structural way, not depending on the access control list.
each topic should be covered in one section, and that section should always be at the same place.
so if you have, for example, a page for email settings, everything shuold be there
if customer has not the sufficient priviledges for seeing something, simply that something does not show up.
customer ? show email address list, webmail config, spam training for a customer base,(maybe intheriting from resellers )
admin ? dashboard for global mail usage, show email address list, webmail config, server email config, antispam, antivirus..

You mean all mailaccounts ? Sort by the name, and it will be sorted alphabetically.
