The entire qmail driver in Lxadmin is around 1000 lines of code. For someone who knows postfix well, it will be around 2 weeks job to write a postfix driver for Lxadmin.
But as such, i have not found any compelling reason to provide support for postfix. One of the serious problems with normal qmail is that it will accept mail for non-existent accounts, which can completely bring down the server because of spam, but the qmail that's bundled with lxadmin is from the qmail-toaster, which has chkuser patch integrated, and works fine.
As such, qmail (at least in the manner packaged by us) has worked well, and after looking around, i have found that it is also much more stable than say exim, which after 10 years or so of development is still grappling with fundamental design issues.
Postfix support would be a nice feature, and we will definitely implement it. The only question is when. SO this poll is about WHEN should we implement the postfix support.
This month, or later.
