Hi

I have searched the threads but not really found the answer to my question so here we go.

I have got a VPS with Lxadmin installed, no Hypervm.
It currently has around 30 domains on it.

I have purchased a new VPS with Hypervm and Lxadmin installed.
What would be the best method of moving the old domains to the new server?

Kind regards
Col

Take backup:
/script/backup --class=client --name=admin

and then restore (I forget the exact command, but you can check the backup forum's readme).

You should upgrade to Kloxo.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

I have 2 reseller users each with around 10-15 clients which each have domains.
I took a backup of one of them and then restored it on the new server.
However, all the clients were installed fine but their domains were not added correctly. The files are all there but according to lxadmin the clients have no domains.

I thought there might be an easier way to migrate them so I asked the original question.
However if this is the correct way then I guess the problem is with the restoration of the backup.

Any ideas?

Regards
Col

Hi

I have run the restore command but it is failing with unable to unzip file.
This does not surprise me as the backup file generated is tar file?

That is the generic error message provided by Kloxo/LxAdmin/HyperVM.

You should post the last few lines from the backup here. You can block the domain names, etc. All I need is the last few lines of the backup.

I thought your question would have been answered already, but it seems that there is some sort of vacation for LxHelp and lxbhargava.
