Do you think kloxo is good for a single user dedicated/VM?[ 4 votes ]

3.Only if packages are updated 1 / 25%

Hi there,

I am a happy kloxo user. I think that even on the present state is good for anyone who is not doing reselling or hosting, but for everybody who simply has a single user site and does not want to do all these tasks (add a new domain and so on) via command line.

That said, I would like to know if the packages included by kloxo (php or others) are going to be outdated and insecure or if they are updated via the official repositories or if someone will do that.

Regarding the 64 bit version it would be nice, but I have to say that my hosting company, gives machines with 12gb of ram with paid plesk on linux 32 bits. After all this means, that installing 32 bits software in 64 bit machines (with more than 4gb of ram) is not such a bad choice (linux handles this pretty well).

If you ask me, kloxo does not need to be developed further but simply to be updated with new packages and to fix the possible bugs. Is this being done? Which packages are updated via kloxo?

Many thanks for the best free webpanel.

Ok, my question here is:

Are lxlabs repositories being updated with new security versions or not?

That is something basic to know and basic if somebody wants to keep using it. Maybe it is done automatically, maybe it is done by the HyperVM team or something else but I need to know.

Please try to answer this question.

In future releases of Kloxo and HyperVM the yum repo's going to be changed (URL change to download.lxcenter.org).
I have already build that part into HyperVM.

We do not have the sources which created the current depending RPM's in the lxlabs repo.
One of the two RPM Packagers is looking for a solution.
At some point there are going to be new versions in the lxcenter repo's. Thats the job for the RPM Managers.

I hope it answered your question Smile
