Hello

I would like to know if Kloxo fully supports IPv6 integration. I've got 6 unused IPv6 ip's. I've tried adding DNS's AAAA record with the Value as my IPv6.

But my website still doesn't have IPv6 support after doing this.

If it's not possible via Kloxo, can i have instructions on how to do this with Lighttpd and tinydns?

Thank you

The missing pieces may be with the webserver. Kloxo configures it with the IPv4 addresses only. You can see some info on the configuration for apache and the NameVirtualHost directive here: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#namevirtualho st

and the VirtualHost directive here:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#virtualhost

I would suggest you test this out and if you get it to work you can post some stuff and maybe I can add it to the apache driver that I am working on. Keep in mind though that I don't believe the current driver should have ever listened on all the ipv4 addresses for the primary sites as the extra addresses should only be used as needed for exclusive ip and SSL.

Thank you for the reply.

I haven't been using Apache, instead i run Lighttpd. I've mentioned it on my first post.

I'm unable to figure out how to get this done via Lighttpd. Usually I'd love to see Kloxo have a GUI configured for this since they've already have added AAAA options for records.

I don't use lighttpd and gave you an example of how you could test this out. I am sure you can find similar things in the lighttpd documentation.

And also, I wouldn't mind adding this at all. I just won't be testing it anytime soon. If someone else puts some work and effort into this, I could help out with getting it into Kloxo.

Thank you for the reply.

I found two guides there on how to setup IPv6 on Lighttpd : http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/linux-unix-lighttpd-ipv6-suppo rt.html and http://redmine.lighttpd.net/projects/lighttpd/wiki/IPv6-Conf ig

I've tried editing the lighttpd.conf file in /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf

I don't know where i'm going wrong but everytime i add this into the conf and i restart, lighttpd fails to start

$SERVER["socket"] == "[ipv6::address]:80" { }
