Samba Share / NFS for web designers[ 2 votes ]
1.Want to have this feature 1 / 50%
2.Not necessery for me 0 / 0%
3.Don't want it 1 / 50%

It is inconvenient to edit files thru FTP.
Much better for many users to connect network drive and edit files directly on the hosting server using their favorite programs.
Is it ppossible to add scripts for Samba/NFS servers to grant access to user's home directory?

There actually is already a feature for mounting a drive through http. Read through the virtualhost conf file. I forget the name of it off hand.
BTW - It is not only inconvenient to use FTP, it is so insecure it is dangerous. I recommend using sftp which is actually SSH. I use this through Filezilla for instance.
