Sometime during the day on April 4th web stats stopped being collected on all of the websites on all of my servers in my LxAdmin Enterprise setup. There are no stats for the 5th and the 6th either.

Awstats shows traffic as usual up until April 4th and then no stats after that (all of our clients have been definitely getting traffic as usual)...

I'm not sure what to check to answer that question?

You will need to check the traffic_usage and see if it is increasing every day.

But if awstats doesn't update, that means that scavenge is not running at all.

Check this on the master:

 ps ax | grep scaven

See if the stats reported on the user's page has been updated since the last time the stats were updated.

Or I should say, nothing returned except my grep command:

# ps ax|grep scaven
15809 pts/0 S+ 0:00 grep scaven

Run fixtraffic and see if it fixes your problem:

 /script/fixtraffic --class=domain

When trying to run the fixtraffic command, it appears one of my slaves is stuck thinking it is upgrading:

slave_upgrading_please_try_after_a_few_minutes

What should I do to that slave?

Check if it is upgrading.

That could be why the traffic didn't get updated.

Check the version on the master and slave, and try manually upgrading the slave.

 /script/version
 /script/upcp

Wow, the slave unit that is "upgrading" seems to be quite unhappy. Here's the contents of his /script directory:

]# ls -l /script
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Apr 4 01:20 filter
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 7 Apr 4 01:20 programname

FYI on this slave, he ran out of disk space recently. He may have tried to upgrade during that lack of disk space and nuked himself.

You can fix it by running:

 . /script/directory
 lphp.exe ../bin/raw-update.phps
 lphp.exe ../bin/update.php

thanks.

I take it I run this on the master?

No. I said you manually upgrade the slave.

So it has to be run on the slave.

As you can see above, I do not have anything inside my /script directory that will let me run that.

Ahh, your "directory" command is supposed to take me to /usr/local/lxlabs/lxadmin/httpdocs/

I think I get it now.

Okay.

Things are better, but now I'm getting this:

Executing UpdateCleanup. This will take a long time. Please be patient
error reading information on service gpm: No such file or directory
pure-ftpd: unrecognized service

When I try this now all it does is this...

Day not set... Defaulting to 1

Sat Apr 4 01:07:47 2009 to ... Sat Apr 4 13:42:07 2009

...and sits there forever...

It took forever, but it finally made it!

One thing to take away from this is that maybe lxadmin needs to check for the needed diskspace before it tries to upgrade so when idiots like me run out of space because their logs filled their disk up, they don't eat their system during auto upgrade...
