The IMAP server is running, however goint to webmail I get message for all acounts

"connection to IMAP server failed"

This started up about 10 days ago, for some strange reason, can anyone help??

Happens with roundcube and horde both, must be a config issues I assume.. but why only me... I see no one else yelling Smile ??

Hi,

Same issue here.
This is a bug because i can reproduce this with a new install.

I asked for help to Lxhelp, however no reaction.

It seems that Lxhelp is too busy with changing the name.
Humm, it could be that Lxadmin is not the best name for a control panel, in the end that is not what counts and the name is not too bad, better than Kloxo.

We have to deal with our customers and they do not understand why some things are not working.
They do really not understand why they can not use Roundcube or why the install apps are that outdated, backup issues, redundant master etc.
My customers do not agree with the answer that the designer is changing the name of the control panel and that that is the reason that they could not use their webmail for days.
Please understand that this is how we earn our money.

Changing the name is ok but i think that you should give normal support meanwhile.

However, we have choosen for this control panel and there is no easy way back.

Hope the lack of support will change, otherwise we have to switch to another control panel.

 cd /var/qmail/supervise/imap4/
 ./run


and see what's the error you get.

netstat -p -n -a | grep 147

gives no output.

The system has been rebooted several times.
I even reinstalled Lxadmin on a clean VPS, same issue.

netstat -p -n -a | grep 143
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:110 0.0.0.0:* LIST EN 30143/tcpserver
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:143 0.0.0.0:* LIST EN 30151/tcpserver
tcp 0 0 :::563 :::* LIST EN 1433/sshd


The issue is only with Roundcube, Horde is working fine.

Some other info about what is done meanwhile:


/var/log/mysqld.log

/usr/libexec/mysqld: Incorrect information in file: './roundcubemail/session.frm'

I ran:

mysql -u root -p
enter your password
repair table roundcubemail.session

Running this gives:

mysql> repair table roundcubemail.session;
+-----------------------+--------+----------+--------------- -----------------------------------------------+
| Table | Op | Msg_type | Msg_text |
+-----------------------+--------+----------+--------------- -----------------------------------------------+
| roundcubemail.session | repair | error | Incorrect information in file: './roundcubemail/session.frm' |

1 row in set, 1 warning (0.56 sec)

After that i ran:

rm /var/cache/lxadmin/lxwebmail*
/script/upcp

But still the same issue.

Can you check the roundcube log and see.

Also, connect via roundcube and check the courier log at /var/log/lxadmin/courier

Hi,

You can not connect via Roundcube.
Opening the Roundcube webmail page is showing;

SERVICE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE!
Error No. [0x01F4]

Nothing about this in the courier log files.

The error message has something to do with a datbase issue.

could lxlabs log in to my server look and fix please

Clients are yelling ...MAIL and SPAM are premier issues that have to get attended to always, as they are what users value most just below their websites working..

Its hard to tell clients I do have not solution...

This problem is with a corrupt RoundCube table file. That is what needs to be fixed.

How do I fix a corrupt RoundCube table file problem???

PRIOR MESSAGE "This problem is with a corrupt RoundCube table file. That is what needs to be fixed"

There is a new issues as well that may be related, in the mail accounts, for one email address

I created new account, server gave message:

"invalid_email_id "

I checked all accounts for a forwarding or something.. and I do remember having created that account prior, but it is not in the mail account list... hope I am clear on this

Now I have had to take my time explaining to clients, the roundcube sitution and then to explain horde all from one BUG that lxlabs ignores....its time consuming, its embarrassing and annoying

Please lxlabs, consider giving some time to this

Hello,

May be some Horde and Roundcube files corrupted. Change to domain owner mode > webmail application, select only horde
once and update and again select only roundcube and update. . If any issues with horde and roundcube config it should
resolve.

mine is fixed but a mystery in that what was wrong is the localhost was set to opendns instead of proper check your hosts files, you might find the same...

now how it got changed to something I have never heard of or done is the big mystery.

all tables etc., were not the problem.

now in mine of course horde and roundcube were down due to his issue if horde works its a different issue.

lphp.exe ../bin/misc/installRoundCube.php

I had same issue and doing this fixed it:

/script/cleanup

It checks everything and seemed to fix all problems. I then rebooted my VPS and I could finally log into my roundcube webmail area.
