How can we get just a file (just one .tar) extracted from the whole huge server backup file? Sometimes we dont need to restore the client on the server, but we need just few files from the backup (and dont wanna to restore back on the server, just for download).

Trying to extract the huge backup file is very time and CPU consuming -> this slows down whole server for hour or more.

Trying to download the huge archive from LxAdmin file manager leads to LxAdmin falling. It download only approx fifty megabytes and the lxadmin service always fall down, we have to connect to the server via SSH and restart lxadmin service, but we are not able to download the backup file at all from server to our desktop pc for extracting...

Hello,

We suggest you to upgrade to Kloxo and try. What is the error message you are getting.

You will need to untar the entire thing into another directory and find the file you need.

If you want to know the kloxo backup structure I can tell you.

The files are taken on a per client basis. So the web files of a client is in client-clientname-any.tar.gz inside the backup file. You have to first extract this archive out of the backup, and then untar it in a directory.

The backup file is kept in /home/kloxo/client/admin/__backup/ and you can download it using ftp or ssh.
