I submitted aticket last week but would love to follow the status of the API update here.

I've added a wholesale user in the latest kloxo...

Modified the server pool and servers.

However when I create a client account with the API the client isn't associated with the correct servers. e.g it's using localhost as the nameservers. Which is bad because localhost doen't even have that role. If I create the user in the control panel then this works fine as I select the nameservers .

Otherwise there is no real point in moving my plesk accounts to you . I wanted to seperate out the dns and database servers for my shared hosting. Not have 1 server doing everything.

I've spoke to AWBS and they said I must talk to you as they are just doing a create account command

If this bug isn't fixed then I can't see any point in switching to kloxo for my shared hosting accounts.

The reply:

Hello,

We are working on concept called server template. We will add it soon which solves this issue.

Try creating the Resource Plan with the servers specified. That should fix it, as that is what Kloxo uses to determine what servers to use.

You don't choose servers when you create a resource plan.

Just in the server pool for the clients. The guys at support know this is bug as it works fine when you create a client using the control panel. But not the api.

When you add a new customer you can pick which servers from the pool to use.

When you create a client with the API it uses localhost all the time

I thought I had seen the server pool under Resource Plan but I guess not.

Sorry for that bad advice.

I believe there are options to specify for each server, and I will try to find them in the forum.

From a December 2008 posting by Drank in the command line forum:

--v-websyncserver=localhost
--v-mmailsyncserver=localhost
--v-mysqldbsyncserver=slave
--v-dnssyncserver_list=localhost,slave

Send those options through the API to add the servers to the client.
