Hi,

My VPS provider offers HyperVM with hostinabox23 ostemplate option.

What I need is apache+lxadmin (my scripts wont work with lighty)

What is the best possible solution to get a working LXA with Apache?

Note : This is a brand new VPS (no existing accounts).

Thanks for your time,
AR

If you can login to your provider's hypervm control panel (http://theirIP:8888 or https://theirIP:8887) with your setup account information, you then can rebuild the VPS OS to suit your need. (select centos4-i386-lxadmin....)

These are the OS choice I have from HyperVM :

centos-4-i386-afull [117.86MB]
centos-4-i386-default [117.86MB]
centos-4-i386-dnsonly [370.36MB]
centos-4-i386-hostinabox23 [565.95MB]
centos-4-i386-minimal [32.94MB]
centos-4-x86_64-default [138.78MB]
centos-5 [131.82MB]
cpanel [633.07MB]
debian-3.1-i386-minimal [42.33MB]
debian-4.0 [105.09MB]
debian [42.33MB]
fedora-core-3-i386-default [105.47MB]
fedora-core-4-i386-afull [157.76MB]
fedora-core-4-i386-default [114.27MB]
fedora-core-5-i386-afull [126.47MB]
gentoo-20060317-i686-stage3 [106.49MB]
opensuse-10-i386-default [90.32MB]
slackware-10.2-i386-minimal [26.01MB]
suse-9.3-x86_64 [155.26MB]
ubuntu-6.06-i386-minimal [59.98MB]

So, I install centos-4-i386-default [117.86MB] and then from http://download.lxlabs.com/ get Lxadmin SSE (Linux) (Installer (apache, bind)) install script and run ?

You need to download the lxadmin-install-master.sh from download.lxlabs.com and execute it in a clean centos 4.4 vps.

Thanks.

You have to use the 'afull' one, which is the only one containing yum.

Thanks.
