Hi,

I just installed kloxo in HyperVM and whenever I try to access kloxo lxadmin, it says:

Your password is now set as a generic password which constitutes a grave security threat. Please change it immediately by clicking here.

When I try to change the password:

you_are_trying_to_access_an_unsettable_variable [old_password_f]

I've rebooted the machine, tried /script/upcp It says latest version is installed, tried re-installing kloxo. Nothing helped.

Can someone please help me resolve this issue?

Try running:

/script/update --class=client --name=admin --subaction=password --v-password=XXX

Where XXX is the new password.

Glad it worked. Did you try changing the password again on Kloxo? If not, can you do so? And report any errors you may find.

Thanks.

Dunnu, but I'm getting network error on IP:7777 , although I can access kloxo from main HyperVM, I tried changing the passowrd.
It just refreshes the page, but there's no notification like: "The password has been changed!"

I belive changing the password shouldn't really return a notification. So it's the normal behaviour.

Now about your other issue, port 7777 is for SSL.

Remember: https://IP:7777 and http://IP:7778

Oh!, Thank you very much.

I'm having one more issue. Its regarding lighttpd, I'm getting 403 error while trying to browse files via IP/~user/folder/ , do you have any idea about it?

I've chowned the directories to user + chmoded 777 to all files.

You must enable directory listing for that.

Go to your client's (user) page, then "Index Manager" (use the search feature or find the "Web: Lighttpd" box).

Enable Directory Index

Update

and you're done.

Hmm. I think i understand your issue now.
When you enable "dir listing", Kloxo adds the line
dir-listing.activate = "enable"
to /etc/lighttpd/conf/kloxo/lighttpd.domain.tld .
So it's a VHOST issue. Your best bet would be to add a domain and create sub-domains for your clients.

I actually don't want to add domains, I just want to use IP/~user/ to access files. Is there anyway to do so?

Then your only option would be to add
dir-listing.activate = "enable"
to your /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf . But make sure you know what you are doing (security wise).
