Please be aware that ClamAV 0.94 and earlier will stop working on 15. April. The signature updates will from that date contain a special signature which will disable 0.94.

I don't think we have to worry.

Kloxo uses:
Apr 25 2009 clamav-toaster-0.95.1-1.3.27.i386.rpm

And i have build a clamav-toaster-0.95.3-1.3.31 that i am testing for some weeks now.

Not that I have LXadmin installed but would this affect the people that have not updated to kloxo? If so, maybe you could send send out an email to them to warn them to upgrade to kloxo. Shocked

If they use lxadmin, then they have the same rpm package. So lxadmin users dont have to worry too.

I dont think a general mailing or whatever should be needed.

My emails are no longer retrievable. My system appears to have ClamAV 0.94.
If I look in /var/log/clamav/freshclam.log it contains messages like this:
freshclam daemon 0.94.1 (OS: linux-gnu, ARCH: i386, CPU: i386)
ClamAV update process started at Sun Apr 18 12:34:32 2010

main.cld is up to date (version: 52, sigs: 704727, f-level: 44, builder: sven)
daily.cld is up to date (version: 10755, sigs: 52428, f-level: 51, builder: guitar)

I have the latest version of kloxo.
# /script/upcp
Getting Version Info from the Server...
Connecting... Please wait....
kloxo is the latest version
Executing UpdateCleanup. This will take a long time. Please be patient

I have tried stopping clamav as a temporary fix, but this doesn't appear to be working.
# service clamav stop
Stopping clamd:
# ps aux |grep clam
clamav   12149  0.0  0.0   1852   472 ?        S    19:42   0:00 /var/qmail/bin/simscan
root     16108  0.0  0.0   1832   488 pts/0    S+   19:57   0:00 grep clam

Any help would be appreciated

Is not a problem.

As long as

main.cld is up to date (version: 52, sigs: 704727, f-level: 44, builder: sven)
daily.cld is up to date (version: 10755, sigs: 52428, f-level: 51, builder: guitar)

is up to date.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't know how to check the version of main.cld or daily.cld. However users were unable to retreive emails.

Here's how I was able to work a temporary fix, then a permanent fix:

As a temporary fix I disabled Virus Scan, through the Kloxo control panel. Server Home->Mail Settings. This allowed emails to be retrieved while the next step was taken.

I then ran "yum update" as suggested in http://project.lxcenter.org/issues/73 . (the process updated MANY packages, 250mb worth, so it took a while for my server. nothing looks broken so far.)

I then reenabled Virus Scan, through the Kloxo control panel. Server Home->Mail Settings.

Email is now working as normal. Nothing else looks broken from the yum update. Thank you for your help!
