Hi,
i currently have a dedicated server in usa running centos 5.4 and kloxo.
Now i have a new server located in my country, and i want to move my sites and all of my data to the new server.
Details about old server:
Hardware:
CPU: Amd Athlon xp 2400
RAM: 1.5 GB
HDD: 80 Gb
3 IPs
Software:
OS: Centos 5.4
- kloxo
- vmware server 2 with the following OS installed under it:
1. Windows Xp Pro Sp3 - for an online radio (i have programs which runs just under windows); it has 1 IP
2. Centos 5.4 + kloxo for one friend; it has 1 IP
- shoutcast server
Details about new server:
Hardware:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo
RAM: 3 GB
HDD: 320 GB
3 IPs (ore more when i need)
Software: no OS installed
Here is my question: is there a way to move all my data from my old server to the new one?
Can i make a full backup of the os with all files and configs and restore it on the new server? Or jus for kloxo? Or just for sites and config files?
Or is better to install Centos on the new server, config it, and then install kloxo and restore websites and settings?
Or should i install hypervm instead of lxadmin? because i need a virtialization platform to run microsoft windows inside centos and another VM with centos for one friend... can vmware images be conveted to run it on hyper vm?
Or if you have any idea how can i do this...
Thank you!

3gb ram would be a bit low if you want to have a few vm's, but i personally would go with hypervm with 4gb ram if you can do that but 3gb ram should work.
so what i would do, set up your new server with centos and hypervm, make one VM (host-in-box) and convert it to a slave ( /script/make-slave ) you need to use XEN if you want windows, also make sure you set a disk limit for your VM's it is very hard to make the VM's disk image smaller but very easy to make it larger.
on your old kloxo make the new slave you just made a slave to you old kloxo server.
next move your websites to the slave and update the dns templates of your websites to reflect your new IP info. (in the control panel)
make a new kloxo (host-in-box) on you hypervm.
next copy the kloxo DB from the old kloxo system to the kloxo Master on your hypervm. use phpmyadmin to do this.
shut down the old kloxo system
on new master reread the ip's and all should work.
you could then move the sites back to the master and remove the slave if you want to. There is other ways to move Kloxo but this is the way i have done it it works.
ok as for windows xp you can load it in hypervm as well if the bios has it turned on
fell free to PM me if you need some help!

Sry - can't help.
I think you need to move a support question like this to the forum under the virtualization type ie Xen. You'll have a better chance of getting help.
Once you get it up and running, then you'd be able to find help here for HyperVM.
Porting data like this, if it is that urgent, might require you looking into a payed job.
But go ask some Xen experts... that would be the right way to go about it.
