New CentOS 5.5 based OpenVZ kernel 028stab069.5 is released.
http://wiki.openvz.org/Download/kernel/rhel5/028stab069.5
Is it safe to update to new OpenVZ kernel 028stab069.5 with HyperVM?

it is safe.

Altho personaly i dont use every new kernel. I only do a reboot to new kernel when the kernel has high risc security fixes.

You dont have to post such announces. I think every month there is a new one Smile

Thanks for your update.
I know OpenVZ release new kernel sometime even after every week but the released kernels are mostly use same Configs as per previous kernel. But this kernel is based on new CentOS 5.5 also need many RH-specific changes in Configs due to new kernel.
Thats why I announce this here to get others openion.

Hi

Do you think it's safe to change "fix-yum-install"?

ex:

hxxp://mirror.centos.org/centos/5.1/os/i386/CentOS/yum-3.0.5-1.el5.centos.5.noarch.rpm

to

hxxp://mirror.centos.org/centos/5.5/os/i386/CentOS/yum-3.2.22-26.el5.centos.noarch.rpm

and why not change this config file for add some lines for x86_64 Wink
