If you had switched to apache recently, or if you had installed apache based lxadmin, it is possible that you would have got a 'download file' box when you click on a php program on your server. This is due to a conflict with suphp, which is also automatically installed on the server. This has been fixed in the recent updates, but you can always forcibly resolve this conflict by going to server home -> server web configuration home and then setting the php type to mod_php. You will have to wait for the web server to restart for the change to get affected.
Thanks.
