hello all , i've just read the topic on setting up a DNS , but that made me even more confused .
i have no idea what and how im supposed to do the stuff .
first of all suppose i bought a VPS with the ip : 55.94.66.12
and now im going to make a DNS template .
suppose i have already bought a domain called : mydomain.com
, i create a DNS Template as following :
DNS Template Name * : mydomain
Web Ipaddress : 55.94.66.12
Mail Ipaddress : 55.94.66.12
Primary DNS * : ns1.mydomain.com
Secondary DNS : ns2.mydomain.com
and now it is said that i should configure A record , CName, MX record , and here is where im stuck at.
how should i configure them ? how many of each of them should i make?
i saw a tutorial at here :

and this guy for adding an A record , just goes to the dns template and then enters www in the first field and in the second field it enters an IP address : 1.23.45.67 while its address is : 69.46.41.114 !
what i dont understand forexample is that where that 1.23.45.65 came from? what is that ?
and for cname , this guy only adds shop to both fields! what is he doing!
