I am having a bit of a special setup, but not exactly sure of how I should configure it.
My company is hosting their site (mydomain.com) with an external webhost.
We got a few subdomains there aswell.
Internally at the company, we got a nameserver hosted on a windows box (domain controler).
The subsomain internal.mydomain.com is pointing to our office IP, which is handeled by a router, which routs port 22, 80, 7777 and 7778 to my internal linux box (192.168.0.137).
We want out internal PC's to be able to use the internal webserver aswell, so I have set up the MS DNS to point requests to internal.mydomain.com to the 0.137 address.
Now, the reason for wanting to run a control panel in the first place, is to allow our users to have their own websites hosted with us inhouse, reachable from both inside and outside.
It's to be concidered as a playground server, but with the ease for us in the staff to easilly create and remove new accounts (customers).
I have kloxo up and running, but how would I configure the DNS so that I can have subdomains like:
user1.internal.mydomain.com
user2.internal.mydomain.com
And so on?
I would prefer not having to add new subdomains with the external webhost, as that requires me to call them each time. (they don't offer a CP, and the company won't change webhost either).
THe DNS record for internal.mydomain.com is for now a simple A record.
Should I ask the webhost to add any specific NS records to it?
And how would I configure the MS DNS?
I'm thinking that the preferred way to go would be to make the MS DNS server to forward *.internal.mydomain.com to the linux box.
And then have a DNS on that machine handle the subdomains.
Is this possible, and in that case, how?
If not, do you have any suggestions?

Edit:
Another question when this one is solved, would also be if it's at all possible to have some kind of internal "signup" page that only responds on private IP's.
So that users can fill in like username and password, and automatically get assigned an account with the domain username.internal.mydomain.com
