The only new functionality, similar to what you're referring to, is to allow users to create their subdomains outside the root folder, i.e. /home/user/domain1.tld - but the main domain still uses /home/user/public_html

I just saw their demo. I mean, I was surprised Cpanel took 10 years to get the basic functionality right.

But it seems, now you can indeed create subdomains outside the root.

In lxadmin, the default domain 's document root is /home/user/public_html/

That is exactly what he is saying. He is saying that LxAdmin automatically creates a redirect directory from /public_html to /domain.com so you can use the same structure as cPanel if desired.

Hi,

I would like to add a website builder like RVSitebuilder.

Does anyone have this installed/working yet?

If so, than please be so kind to give an explanation how you installed this.

Thanks in advance,

Steven

So anybody integrated a site builder yet?
Its a vital offering for all modern hosting providers these days.
Many also are not so VPS friendly.

Hi,

I offer the Sitereptile website builder(http://www.sitereptile.com/) at this moment to my customers.

The only thing you have to do is create a button.

The installation is very easy, only ftp access is needed.

The maker of this website builder contacted Lxlabs to see if an intergration is possible. However, as far as i know, Lxlabs did not respond to his e-mails.

Kind regards,

Steven

I'm not speaking for LxAdmin. LxHelp will probably respond appropriately. But it seems from my observations that Lxadmin is very reluctant to add non opensource applications to lxadmin. One thing I'm very sure about though is....they would have implemented it if requested (by popular demand) in the forum and its opensource.

But I will also look into sitereptile....never heard of it before now.

Thanks

Hi,

Well, Sitereptile is also an add on for Cpanel.
It is not open source, but there are no good open source website builders as far as i know.

I think every control panel must have a website builder.
Although i never used one, not everybody knows how to build a website and all the other companies offer a website builder.

Beside that, Installatron is also added and not free.

Kind regards,

Steven

I agree with you. Probably Lxadmin should begin to consider requests for some non opensource applications for integration with Lxadmin. Otherwise, you can add almost any applications to lxadmin and just create a custom button for it....lxadmin is that flexible....

Hi,

Yes you can create a custom button.

However, in this case an implementation was better.
Some data can already be filled in automaticly, what is less confusing and easier for the customer and it is possible to make a different connection to the account of the customer.

You can always have options to add, i agree opensource is better, however it is up to you if you think it is worth it.

Regards,

Steven
