Hi,

I'm running Windows 2003 server inside XEN vps.

I need to add more CPU and and additional hdd (as a LVM logical volume) to this windows box.

I'm trying add some additional configuration using "Append To Xen Config" but it doesn't work for me.

How to do it?

Best Regards

Peter

For cpu, go to vps home -> information and increase the number of CPUs.

For harddisk, go to vps home -> limit and increase the disk size and restart the vps.

Adding multiple disks is not possible now.

Thanks.

Doesn't work for me.

I changed # of cpu to 4 (there are 8 CPU in the box) but it seems only one is using.

Any idea?

Please make a small change, restart the vps and please post the tail -f /usr/local/lxlabs/hypervm/log/shell_exec file here.

For the initial windows you create, the CD is always mounted. The /home/wincd.iso is the cdrom.

You have enough space etc. Just restart the vps, and then check the shell_exec file. And you can see all the commands there.

Thanks.

Still doesn't work.

I'm running version 2.0.1862

"Number Of Virtual Cpu" has been set to 4

VPS has been restarted using "power->reboot"

There are following messages in the /usr/local/lxlabs/hypervm/log/shell_exec:
"1: 13:11 Feb/17/2008: 0: [(__system__:/usr/local/lxlabs/hypervm/httpdocs) 'uname' '-r']
1: 13:11 Feb/17/2008: 0: [(__system__:/usr/local/lxlabs/hypervm/httpdocs) 'xm' 'create' '/home/xen/w2003se.vm/w2003se.vm.cfg']"

I still have 1 cpu running (there are 8 CPU in the hardware node).

Any idea?

Peter

Sure , previusly install i create unpartitoned LVM volume only 10 GB . When i create 10 GB Xen VPS , i can't create any more.
Reinstall machine and create 200 GB unpartitoned LVM volume and now i can install lot of Xen VPS.
But i've a bug report , when i reinstall machine , and create new Xen VPS on master linux, .img files not moved new server. And XEN create and start error. I've moved files on SSH ( scp ) then create Xen VPS everythink is done.

Sorry my bad english .

For the initial windows you create, the CD is always mounted. The /home/wincd.iso is the cdrom.

This is perfect for the initial Windows that I created. But do you have any ideas how can I access a CD-ROM in subsequent Windows that were create using OSTemplate? In these Windows there are no CD-ROMs.
