Is this browse backup? In the normal backup there is directory concept at all. The vps object is handled as a single entity.
thanks.

I am not fully following you but thanks for the fast response.
I am using "
Upload (ftp) for Backup: somename.vm / "
Then I clicked on file manager and tar the uploaded backup. Once it untars itself it will request for me to upload it to "/" directory. I will then get the "action Not set" error.

SO upload is failing? Not the actual restore?
thanks.

The restore is failing.
I am currently on the Extract page with the "Contents Of The Archive " and it will then ask for me to overwrite the "/" directory with those files. If I select yet it will give me the following error at the end "Action Not set"

Can you please send the login + the backup info to lxhelp at lxlabs.com?
cd /usr/local/lxlabs/hypervm/httpdocs/
lphp.exe ../bin/common/restore.php --class=vps --name=vps.vm --restore /home/hypervm/vps/__backup/backupfile.
thanks.

Does this file exist on the slave where the vps resides?
thanks.

I am still not able to understand what actually crashed. Uploading very large files would indeed crash because htttp protocol itself seems to be not geared toward 10GB uploads.
The restore itself actually happens in the background, and cannot crash. Where exactly did you get that 'action not set' error?
thanks.

The backup restore is different from merely untarring. FOr backup restore, go to vps home -> backup .
SO you were actually trying to untar this file via the panel right? That's not the way to restore backup.
thanks.

Untarring can crash, because it will take too long and I think it exceeds the web-servers timeout. The actual restore process actually happens in the background for this reason. for that, you have to go to vps home -> backup
thanks.

It is php that's crashing. UPloading still has some issues. You should upload it first to a ftp site, and then upload it to hyperVM from there.
