After changing to another language.. White screen. [message #29872]

After changing to another language. I did make a translation in Russian and i set Russian language in Appearance. I click Update... page gets white and doesn't change after any refresh.
I was able to fix this only by renaming ru folder to something else..

What is happening.. why cant i see this language.. It perfectly works with spanish and turkish but russian page gets white, and i only see white screen.

Figured this out.. now is it possible to change default codepage encoding to whatever i want?

Figured both out://

Just in case somebody will run into this msg:

1. I was midding some " : ; in my language file

2. I have to set encoding by running this "echo windows-1251 > charset" inside my language file directory on my server.
