SOLVED suphp & magic quotes settings [message #30567]

lxadmin hostinabox cenots virtualized over hypervm

i set apache + mod_suphp
when i try to change advanced php settings like magic_quotes_gpc, it does not function.

in particular, magic_quotes_gpc is always set to OFF

this is very bad, since a lot of CMS (joomla, mambo, e107, wp and so on..) and some popular php script / pattern (lie the security token against CSRF attacks) requires that setting to be ON !

is there any fix to this strange behaviour ?

EDIT

i find the solution, by turning GPC ON on a per user basis.

Hi,

I face this problem for my web program about this too. I just discover this now.

Why magic_quotes_gpc turned off by default?

It cause big security concern for SQL injection.

That is really a big big problem. Too bad.

Hello,

It will automatically adds some codes, and additional headaches, It is
ideal if it disabled by default. We need to tackle security issues while
coding.
