hi,

how is an upgrade and subsequent migration done on centos?, will the /home directories, configurations, database data, and custom software installations be able to be cleanly migrated to a next higher major distribution? will those things be broken?

how can it be accomplished while preserving all these things?

how would the migration be accomplished for a vps?, how about a node?

The Champion

The best way to upgrade from centos 4 to 5 is to take a full backup of lxadmin on the old server, and then restore it on the new.
