InstallApp now comes with a snapshot/restore facility.
You can take snapshot of an installed application, and then restore it back later.
This would be really ideal if you are upgrading your application or making any changes to it.
We will be providing a facility to update applications to the latest version, and before an application is updated, a snapshot will be taken, so that if the update breaks the app, you can trivially restore it back to the pre-update state.

I am reposting this in the installapp announcement forum itself.
You can now specify the application to be automatically installed when you create a client.
In the add customer page, there is now an extra field called install application where you can select an application like wordpress, mambo or joomla, which will be automatically installed to the newly created domain. The login info will be sent to the client's contact email
All other updates for InstallApp will from now on be posted in this forum, rather than

InstallApp has been completely redesigned and now each application is updated individually, while earlier all the applications were dumped into a very large tar file, which made updating individual applications nearly impossible.
The new design will allow us to update each application individually, and will help us to respond to bugs, releases etc as fast as we currently respond to bugs in the main lxadmin application itself.
We are committed to making InstallApp the best installer in the industry. This particular forum is only for announcements. If you need any features or you want to report a bug, please post in the forum in the Lxadmin section: http://forum.lxlabs.com/index.php?t=thread&frm_id=22& ;amp ; .
To update all the applications to the latest version, run this on your Lxadmin server.
