Hello, I run a Web Hosting, VPS, Dedicated server, etc. business I am wanting to know if possible for me to pop on hypervm slave onto a dedicated server and just use all the space on that dedicated server so I can control it and mess with it if possible? Or is there any other way? Well thank you for your help.

i have another hypervm host (master of the problematic hypervm host) which doesn't experience this problem, so i wonder why this host having segmentation fault.
i tried rebuild the VM several times and also using different distro and still having the same problem. any thought what might cause this?

Hi,
As we use a remote server to do some management over the VPSs, we would like to know if a specific action is performed by the remote system ( using API ) or with one of our employees. This way I tried to create an auxiliary ID for the remote machine that uses API, but it seems that an auxiliary login ID can not be used in the API.
Am I doing something wrong or it's not yet implemented?
Thanks

How can we remove the ugly feathers from the LXadmin panel?, per our clients its a distractive image not related to webhosting in anyway whatsoever.
How about mybe actual shortcuts to panel stats or shortcuts to actual working tools?

Hi,
I have setup HyperVM with the WHMCS system. All is ok, but the wellcome e-mail isn´t personalized and some field as ip appears as: xx.xx.xx.xx. I mean it´s due variables missing, in the personalized e-mail from WHMCS. I talk with Matt from WHMCS and suggest me to fill the e-mail with the right variables such as {$service_custom_field_ipaddress}.
Anybody can help me building the right default template?
Thanks in advance

Hi there,
I am trying to understand how the regular FTP backup works. Each VM can have a an FTP server defined that can be backed up to.
However, it's confusing to understand how this all works.
It seems that the backup creates a backup on the node, then FTP's the backup to the FTP server. You have the option of leaving a copy of the backup on the node, or removing it. What happens if you remove it? Will the customer still be able to browse the backup via the file manager? Will they be able to recover backups? Is this a full backup of the VM? How do you perform a recovery? Can you recover single files or only the whole VM?
I guess what I am hoping for is some sort of explanation as to how this works.
I realize there is the option of using centralized backups. However, the truth is that backups are usually something you charge extra for. Many customers may opt to setup their own FTP-based backup solution (i.e. Mosy). It will be important to understand how this works though.
Thank you in advanced for any help.

Hello,
What directories on the server do I need to backup to backup all the configuration/database of my HyperVM? My server has been disabled and all I have is FTP access to the files. I need to download the configuration files (I have automated backups of the VPS on it offsite so that's ok). So what directories on the server should I be downloading?
Thanks very much

Hello,
i install hypervm/openvz successfully but when i want create vm hypervm says :
VM creation has failed. Reason: vps-create ERROR Insufficient disk space in /vz/private/120.tmp; available 0, needed 311580 Creation of container private area failed
when i see server partions from hypervm it says "/ (/dev/sda5)" has 1.98 gb disk space and disk space used is 1.98gb (there is no free disk space)
i think this problem cause is the above problem because / (/dev/sda5) is full also if this is the problem if i tell my data center that reinstall my dedicated os and set 40gb partins for / (/dev/sda5) does my problem solved?
and my server details is :
p d dual core 2.8ghz
2gb ram
250gb hdd
thanks ,

There are over 30vps running on the node. Most of them running 2 resource plans. Is it possible that if we change the resource plan limit for traffic it make changes to all the vps
or
we have to manually do the traffic shaping for all the vps?

here is a route log, How can I set the hypervm do not add that 255.255.255.0 record. Thanks.

I have a Node that has the openvz driver, and 2 VPS's. It is important that I safely transfer those 2 VPS's to a new node running Xen. Is it possible to take something running on openvz, and force it to run on XEN? Is it safe to do so?
Also, how would I go about in transfering the VPS's from one node to another? Whil keeping all information intact.
It is important to note that after the transfer, node #1 will be disconnected.

I have been using HyperVM in several servers for months, very easy to install, use, stable, etc...
But, for the last days one server is making me crazy. We received a HP Proliant ML110, and configured RAID-1 (Mirror) in its BIOS.
Installed CentOS 5.2 64bits, installed HyperVM, everything fine..
BUT, when I go to grub.conf to change "Default" to the kernel parameter, it simply doesn't work. It boots just like I don't have any other kernel installed than the default CentOS 5.2 one.
Also tried with CentOS 5.0, and the same problem happens. I tried to install GRUB in the MBR and also in the First partition -- Same problem for both modes.
I also tried to install a new Kernel, from the original CentOS yum repository (yum update kernel), and this kernel also doesn't work!
Does anyone have a clue on how to solve this? I could try to use the disks in software Raid, or even not in Raid, but I would like to use HP BIOS' raidset.
I don't have access to the physical GRUB boot screen
Some commands that may help:

Hello,
I am currently testing HyperVM.
Right now I am using the 5vm max limit. I created some VMs and accidentally went over the limit of 5vms. It is now asking me to purchase a license.
How do I remove the two VMs that I accidentally made without having to reinstall or purchase the license now.
I will purchase the license after finish testing.
Thanks.

We currently have HyperVM master installed on a server in Europe but want this to be our 1st slave server, and want to use our company UK server as the master but without virtualization.
Our UK server currently running cpanel with our company site and 3 other sites, is it completely safe to install hypervm ontop of this? and would we run the install command without virtualization as all we want is the control panel to control other slave servers?
If so what is the process of doing this and converting the old master into a slave, getting the accounts to show on the new master, what about licensing?
All your help is much appreciated

Hi,
I am able to create new VM's without problem in HyperVM however, when I try to access the VM via SSH or Web it is unresponsive, even though the services are listening.
Also, when I login to the VM through the root console and try to ping or resolve anything it isn't working. I am able to ping, etc on the main console.
Any ideas?
Thank you.
