Hi.
I am moving to a new cluster of servers on a different network, but I can't do so because attempting to restore on the new cluster, it will try connect to the old cluster's slave.
Is there any way to restore to a new cluster with new IP's??
Thanks.

Hi,
I've had to symlink the tmp dir used for backups to /home because of inadequate disk space (as per http://forum.lxcenter.org/index.php?t=msg&goto=71682 )
but...
The client which was being problematical has several hundred MB of compressed audio files which never change. To avoid excessive workload zipping these daily, I'd rather manually create a separate backup for them and store it on the backup server, then exclude them from daily backup. How do I do that?

I wanted to restore several domains from a client's account, the backup size is quite big (22GB), problem is the lxadmin restore page is always blank after i select the backup file and click on start restore process button (time out problem i think).
i read that i can do it via console, but if i do it via console can i select only 2 domains from several domains that the client have?

Hi all,
Lately I have been trying to configure a backup server for the hypervm remotely. I tried many different things and it did not work. I am using central backup config in hypervm. Any help on how to configure backups will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I am new to this stuff, and I usually work in a Windows environment. What would be the best way for me to secure my files, and make sure I don't lose everything if my computer crashes? I have about 300 gigs of data, and one video file that is 30+ gigs large.
What about online backup But I've also heard about these products and this onealso work well.

Hi,
Incremental backups would make an excellent addition to the backups.
This would save a huge amount of bandwidth for everyone that FTP's their backups 'offsite'.
I know you mentioned doing this is another thread, do you know when you plan on doing this as my site transfers are now taking ages to transfer even though only a few files have actually changed.
Kind regards
