Hi,
I hope this is not a dupe as I cant find it.
When creating a backup using 'Backup Home' from kloxo panel. Backups are not appearing in the clients home folders. The '_backup' folder is not there at all.
It does not show in the panel 'file manager' for the client or client FTP session.
The backup is in the folder /home/kloxo/client/<client>/_backup
I am using the admin login then going to the client panel and using 'Login As' to make the backups.
I have more than one system all with the same symptom.

Hi,
I wondered if anyone knows a way to increase the backup increment, perhaps by a editing one of the Kloxo scripts? At the moment it has an option for daily, weekly and monthly. Is there anyway to get it to backup twice a week?

The backup worked fine until today. When I run backup for admin or for user goldense "Backup Failed for goldense with the Message could_not_zip_dir: : /home/goldense/"
A day before, I run these commands in Kloxo > Command center because traffic not updaiting:
/script/fixtraffic --class=domain and /script/scavenge
I belive, after that, the backup error appeared. Untill this, backup worked fine daily.

No working

figured there was a cpanel to kloxo question, might as well post about plesk too...
I have the script from http://forum.lxcenter.org/index.php?t=msg&th=15491&s tart=0& and it almost works. (I would post comments in that other thread, but its locked.. not sure if its locked because its unsupported, wont work, origional author hasnt posted for a while, or what)
After messing with it a bit, I'm coming to the conclusion that perhaps Kloxo changed something in the post variables since the script was written around March 2011.
Can anyone verify this? Maybe even documented some way? Is there still methods for taking actions in kloxo via batch processing of some sort (like URL posts)? Seems alot of work went into this script (over 700 lines of code, but that also includes the debugging stuff I've been putting in to trace errors).
The other option I can try doing is just write my own script that turns a plesk backup file into a kloxo backup file, then just restore it. Would that be better?
(I only have about 50 sites on Plesk that need to be moved over). Not alot, but still, would be handy to have things done automatically.

Hello
I have a VPS server( unmanaged) under (opnevz) running latest version of kloxo , 4 days ago there was a attack on my server and then my server was being used to attack other so my hosting provider suspended my account and asked me to implement some firewall and check for malware , i assured them and they restored my account , so i implemented some security by following kloxo guide on How+to+secure+your+Kloxo+with+IPTABLES
2) after that i rebooted my server, but then my vps was completely inaccessible , however vps control panel show my vps as online but the memory is 0.
3) my hosting provider tried everything and then they said the VPS system is severely broken. It does not allow any processes to execute within its environment.
4) they suggested : -
The entirety of your VPS system will be backed up, the OS will be reloaded, and the data moved to an accessible directory on the system. There wouldn't be any data loss however you'd be starting with a 'fresh' OS and need to re-setup the VPS however your needs require.
5) We had to completely reinstall the OS on our VPS so all the data on it has been wiped clean. However, we've placed a copy of all the files on our backup in the root directory with the 5372BK/.
then i tried to restore mysql database , but it didn't worked
i have searched everywhere for restoring kolxo and mysql databases , but none helped
i have tried copying mysql database manually from var/lib/mysql , the in phpmyadmin i can see the database but there is no data /tables
6) is there any way we can restore the kolxo from the backup files ( its the complete snapshot of vps system hardisk).
7) and is there any option to restore mysql database which is the main concern for me.

I did a fresh centos 5.8 64bit install but prior to that I had created a master backup. all my domains and emails created under user admin. also my backup was created with kloxo current version 6.1.12.
So on the same server I did a fresh os reinstall and simple ran kloxo install script right away after. then when it was completed I uploaded my master backup to the backup dir and ran the restore feature on the. web gui. I see others having error messages regarding zip errors but in my case my master backup is a .tgz file and the server decompresseed it fine but it gave me an error that it could not access the database. I'm confused why it says this because I am on kloxo web gui just fine.
Is kloxo trying to restore my backup using the kloxo mysql user pw from the backed db instead of using the new one from the fresh install?
What is the best way to backup to avoid this problen? Or restore using kloxo because it took a while to manually redo my setup including a long downtime due to another issue ill post in another thread

I have searched in kloxo forums and I was looking for an answer to the problem of restore section and the error which is named :could_not_unzip_file
but they were referring to this bug as a solved issue in higher version of kloxo like 6.1.9
my backup file size is 768 MB and my HDD is 40 gb so there shouldn't a problem with size and restoring it.
please tell me Restore data to my vps

I have a reseller account in a Cpanel server and I want to migrate account from Cpanel to another server by kloxo ,
i have a problem by emails , how can i transfer users email configuration and data . i have a access to root in kloxo server .
Can some body explain the step by step of migrating mails?

When trying to restore a client I get the following message:
Restore failed due to objectclassname_doesnt_match: :
The backup was created on another server and doing this seemed like an easy way to move a client between a server.
Any help?

Hi
Is it possible to manualy restore a backup I backup up my domains one at a time and am seting up a new server and when I went to upload them they won't upload for some reson so I Figure I would upload them by hand witch is no prob but when I got to restore them it won't let me do that eather so how can I or can I undo the files my sald mainly my E-Mail accounts and put them back any help would be ver greatful thanks

Hi there
Every Night i've receive a message like
Backup faild for Admin with the message could_not_create_mysql_dump. nname: Domain_tld
The problem is there it isn't only one domain. Every night when i receive it is it another one.
So i've read the post: http://forum.lxcenter.org/index.php?t=msg&th=15267 but i think it's not the right one.
What can we do here? At the moment we haven't any backup.

Hi to all,
I have problem with upload kloxo backup to ftp.
I set the parametars (username, password, ...) and it's work for a 7 days and than i get the massage
"Kloxo Backup upload Failed due to could_not_upload_file"
I have the last version of kloxo.
I use apache, suphp
Any help
EDIT:
I figure it out. My apf firewall block ftp connection.
I install webmin + csf firewall (webmin module) and now everything is working

Hi,
while restoring a client, you could get errors like:
- Restore Failed. Reason: could_not_add_mail: mailpserver: Entry is out of order: testdomain.ext
- Restore Failed. Reason: could_not_add_mail: mailpserver:
- Restore Failed. Reason: mailaccount_add_failed: nname:
Indeed, something is messed up.
Assumption:
Kloxo ver. 6.1.3 (actually the latest version)
Client: testclient
Backup file: /bkup-file-path/testclient-bkup.tar
Shell command: /script/restore --restore --class=client --name=testclient --accounts=all /bkup-file-path/testclient-bkup.tar
If you get one of the above errors try this steps:
1. Wait at least 6 minutes then run restore command again. Simple but sometimes it works or maybe you will get a different error. Proceed with step 2.
2. For each testclient's mailaccount run this shell command:
/home/lxadmin/mail/bin/vdeluser testclient-mailaccount@testdomain.ext
Then run restore again.
3. If you still get errors: delete all client's domain from Kloxo control panel (Kloxo will NOT delete files in client home directory). Then try to restore again. Maybe, you will need to repeat this step many times if the client has many domains.
When a client restore succeed, you won't probably get these errors again.
I hope this will help.

I have 2 VPS and I have scheduled FTP backup option enabled.
When files are uploaded to FTP the name of the files are "kloxo-scheduled-6.1-admin-2011-Feb-21-1298247102.tar" and "kloxo-scheduled-6.1-admin-2011-Feb-21-1325847825.tar"
Can I change the name of the files uploaded to FTP as I dont know which is from VPS1 and which from VPS 2?

Hello,
I have managed to backup successfully my server and want to migrate to another machine.
Trying to restore, I've got the first error because of "existing user". I have searched the forum, deleted the user and his databases and now I get a "bounce--Restore Failed. Reason: directory_already_exists: : " message. As it doesn't tell me which directory already exists, I don't know how to proceed further.
Please advise.

hello,
i had a xen hypervm vps with Kloxo i took a new dedicated server and all are new ips, i took each client backup and restore and now issue is after i restore it to new dedicaed server domains are showing all old server ips please help me how to fix the issue?and which file with location i have to check?

hi, maybe this is a simple question but I wonder this:
I have the following scenario: a master server hosting the webpages and mysql databases for the sites.
a slave server only for hosting the mail services for the above sites.
where should I do the backup? in the master server only? will the master take care of backing up the slave? or should I do the backup in the slave as well?

Hi. Evreyone.
I have linux server with 100 domains.
And i will backup this server.
I go to Kloxo panel.
Find HOME BACKUP and write 2010_Backup
Wait 1.5 hours.
is this backup
Domian + Mysql + Clients domains + ftp + myswl and more..
Bur Danger is the email acounts and mail DIR.
Bacause my costumers are locking with webmail.
All mail is in my Server.
Home backup is backuping the mails ?

Yesterday night i started backup, but didnt receive any email yet... so how can i check if backup is still running or it stopped due to some error?
Also is there any easy way to backup a client having around 100 Gb files?
Its not possible to transfer lot of files seperately....
